At Cocoon we work hard to bring you the very best yoga instructors the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer in studios that are private, warm and supportive.
Students learn at a pace that is suitable for them and don’t need to keep up with others in the class. This benefits both beginners – who need more attention and advanced practitioners – who have the potential to go further.

Class Descriptions
Vinyasa Flow The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In this class you will move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Some Pranayama and principles of alignment included.
Rocket Vinyasa This sequence is based on the well-known Ashtanga Rocket Series that Larry Schultz of It’s Yoga created while teaching for, and touring with, the Grateful Dead. Beginning with the traditional Ashtanga sun salutations to build heat, the standing and seated series incorporate postures from the primary, second and third series of Ashtanga to create a fun and fast-paced practice that will turn your bandhas on, get your heart beating and your breath flowing. Postures from other yoga styles, such as flow, may be included as well. Pranayama and core work are integrated to build strength, balance, focus and endurance. The Rocket gets you there faster!
Pilates Mat The Pilates "method," as it is now known, is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness, without necessarily building bulk. Two of the key elements of Pilates are core muscle strength* and spinal alignment.
Intermediate/Advanced This class will take your Yoga practice to the next level with poses that are a little more challenging - building on advanced poses that continue to improve upon strength and flexibility.
All Levels Appropriate for beginners and advanced students. Build your practice and deepen your experience of the fundamentals of Yoga, with emphasis on proper alignment and breath awareness. Beginner/Intermediate-A continuation of our All Levels, with the introduction of more challenging poses to increase stamina and mental focus. May include some flow and inversions.
